Paint.net

More free photo editing software. Paint.net has received great reviews as an easy to use, but with quite a few bells and whistles. Here is the publishers description:
Paint.NET is free image and photo editing software. It features an intuitive and innovative user interface with support for layers, unlimi
ted undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools. An active and growing online community provides friendly help, tutorials, and plug-ins. Version 3.36 includes unspecified updates.

The reviewers on CNET say "If all you want is a quick image retouch, Photoshop is overkill. Paint.NET, on the other hand, is an open-source freeware editor with all the essentials, including tools to crop, rotate, resize images, adjust colors, and create collages."

I've only used it a little, but I can say, it's way less intimidating than Photoshop, but has a lot more functions than Microsoft Paint. And the online community is awesome for any help or tutorials you might need. So...it's definitely worth the free download to check it out.
